Day 107: First exam is over

I fell behind again after I got sick so here's to catching up once again!

I've finished a few posts today (as of December 7th). Check them out if you haven't:
Day 104: Went to the hospital
Day 105: Late night Burger King
Day 106: Pizza party in class

Our exam period has officially begun!

It's scary how quickly time passed.
I feel like I've worked hard to enjoy every day here and make each of them memorable (except the days I've been sick) yet we're already in December.

Today's final on the Korean Wave was actually early as my Korean exams will not be before next week but I have no complaints. I would rather get this one out of the way so I can focus more on the upcoming ones.
The five questions we were supposed to answer today were already introduced to us last week so it really was just a matter of remembering what we've talked about in class or our own experiences with K-pop. I wish all finals could be this pleasant.

In the afternoon when it was time for class, my throat had started hurting again and I couldn't speak without pain and decided to stay home.
Hajun stopped by in the evening and brought us both subway sandwiches. He'd taken a while to get here but I figured it was just the bus being slow. When he came, however, he told me that he'd gone to the pharmacy to look for tea for my throat (but they didn't have any). So instead he'd gone to get me a big package with chocolate powder that I could mix with water to make hot chocolate.
He's too thoughtful.

I hope I'll have more energy soon to go out and do things again. It sucks being stuck inside like this.

Day 106: Pizza party in class

I had a bit more energy today!
I also woke up pretty early so I had enough time to snap this picture while walking to class. I loved it here in the summer but it's also beautiful now that it's winter. I hope we'll get a lot of snow soon!

Last week, our teacher had announced that we'd have a pizza party during class today and apparently nearly everyone had forgotten it (or just not listened) and got super surprised when the delivery guy came in with several soda bottles and pizza boxes.
I was not at all hungry and fought my way through the one slice of pizza I grabbed so I wouldn't have to eat my medicine on an emtpy stomach. Not being able to enjoy free, warm pizza is the worst ㅠㅠ

After class, I made a quick stop by the postal office on campus and then back to my room to have a look at the exam questions for our first final, which is tomorrow. I grabbed a warm honey 유자 (citron) tea on the way.
If you go to Korea and get the chance to drink these, give them a try! I love them!
They're incredibly sweet!

After Korean class, Isabella and I walked down to Sinchon for sushi.
It had started snowing a LOT during class and just as suddenly as it had begun, it stopped again.
When we got out, something had started falling from the sky again but instead of snow or rain, it was a mix of big, wet snowflakes. Once again, the Koreans were ready with their big coats and umbrellas.
It was great eating a bigger, healthy meal again but I got a terrible heartburn later that night from it.
I'm tired of being sick.

Day 105: Late night Burger King

Another day of being sick and feeling bad.

I went to my morning class and then straight back to bed. The air was fresh and nice but I can't stay out too long at a time because of my throat.

Heading to my room, I swung by the food court connected to our down to get myself a cookies and cream smoothie.
I have absolutely no appetite so having to eat three times a day in order to take my medicine is a real struggle. Especially when I pass by the food court in the morning. The smell if processed foods make me anything but hungry.
This smoothie was pretty good, though! I also found a snack thingie that reminds me of Kinder milk-slices. I added that to my list of foods I need to eat a lot of once I return to Denmark.

With finals coming up, I can't risk missing too much information... is what I'd like to think but I ended up not going to Korean class in the afternoon because I was too lazy to move away from my bed.

As I lay on my bed, I got a sudden craving for nuggets and told Hajun about it.
He had a basketball event in the evening but promised to eat with me later that day since I've complained about how bored I've been, spending most of the time alone in my room these past few days.
When it was actually time to meet him, I was feeling too sick for the trip down to Sinchon. Instead,  Hajun stopped by Burger King, bought food for both of us, and came all the way to my dorm to eat it with me. It was cold and snowing outside and I got to incredibly happy that he did all that for me.

Since we can't have guests this late, we were sitting on a bench in the now closed food court. It started snowing a lot and I think we actually had a few centimeters of snow on the ground around the time he left.
